Living in the Blessing

God does not look at your past mistakes and exclude you from his promises. Neither does God give you his promises on the basis of any good works you have done. I've said it before: the first fruits offering is not about "winning" God's favor, but about "releasing" it -- acting in faith in order to see it manifests in your life. It is a principle, not simply an offering. It is your faith in him that brings God's promises to you. God doesn't look at your resume. He is not impressed with your cuteness or cleverness. As you present God with the first of the first, entrusting him with the rest, I know without a shadow of a doubt that God has a great things to be released to you! If you will give God your faith, he will give you your future. "For the Lord God is a sun and shield;the Lord bestows favor and honor; no good thing does he withhold from those whose walk is blameless" (Psalm 84:11 NIV).

Already, Anthony acknowledged that he had no ability to get well outside of gods provision -- and God did indeed provide. And then he gave a first fruits offering of $900, an amount he felt would adequately represent one week of pay from a job he did not yet have. His check arrives at our offices on 1 February. We found out later that the very next day, February 2, a gentleman at his church who was a CEO asked Antony to call him because he had a brand new job for him. but that's not all. The new job paid four times what is first fruits offering represented per month and then he now says, "First fruits is awesome!"

Shardohn of Virginia Had never heard of the structure found in Romans 11:16 that reads, "if the part of the dough offered as first fruits is wholly, then the whole batch is wholly; if the room is wholly, so are the branches." But that one scripture opened her eyes to the principles of the first fruits is past January. She writes, "I had a financial need for my grand so I was a little nervous about giving first fruits, but I did not let that stop me. I gave my first fruits offering of $1000. My faith came by hearing the word of God and God used this opportunity to show off on my behalf. and now I work only three days per week and the Lord has allowed me to make more money than I did when I was full time. Now I get to spend more time with my family. How exciting! Also my real estate business, and other business ventures are beginning to blossom. To God be the glory. God cannot fail!"

A couple from Pennsylvania were determined to pay off their credit card debts and had established a plan to do so over a 15 month. Everything you said was backed up by Scripture. So, we sewed our firstfruits offering with the faith and believe that God would use it to his glory, and would bless us. Never in our imagination did we think he will bless us like he did. My husband just received a huge promotion and his salary was increased almost 30%, which is unheard of! We will have to relocate, but we are so excited just thinking about how God is going to use us."
